Job Title: Medical Laboratory Assistant

A career as a Medical Laboratory Assistant at Transformation Unit offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The role involves various duties in the Specimen Reception area of the laboratory, providing opportunities to develop skills and expertise in specialist areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory processes, working closely with colleagues to achieve exceptional results.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, but part-time options are also considered. The post-holder will participate in the shift system, including weekend and bank holiday rotas, after completing an appropriate period of training.

Key Requirements
  • GCSE English or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE Maths or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to follow protocols and work under some pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team

We estimate the salary for this role to be approximately £23,615 (depending on experience) pro rata if part time, based on national averages for similar positions.
