A unique opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Finance professional to join our client's team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts
  2. Management accounting, P&L reporting for several trading companies
  3. Oversee the annual statutory accounting process and liaison with external accountancy firm & Auditors
  4. Cashflow forecasting and cash management
  5. Adhoc financial reporting, analysis and project accounting
  6. Identify improvements and efficiencies in finance processes, systems and controls
  7. Oversee Payroll & Pensions, review VAT return prior to submission & ONS stat return
  8. Personal Tax Duties (Desirable, not essential)
  9. Oversee two finance staff responsible for invoicing, bank reconciliations and support with month-end duties
  10. Intercompany accounts to be reconciled
  11. Using XERO accounting software & MS Excel

Person Specification:

  1. Proven experience in a similar senior finance role
  2. A bias towards SME, start-up/portfolio type businesses desirable
  3. Confident communicator, able to business partner with a wide variety of people and colleagues around the businesses
  4. 'Qualified by experience' or Fully CCAB Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  5. Strong management and financial accounting skills
  6. Excellent understanding of systems and accounting software, Advanced XERO user highly desirable
  7. Encouraging of automation
  8. Driving licence essential – due to rural location

Benefits:

  1. Salary range £45,000 - £60,000 DOE
  2. People's Pension Scheme - 3% employer contribution
  3. Working hours – 37.5 per week (Consideration towards slightly reduced hours/flexibility with start/finish times) Core Hours 10:00 – 16:00
  4. Office based in the majority – with the option of some flexibility
