About the Role

proAV Limited is seeking an experienced AV Systems Integration Specialist to join our Programming team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing control software and touch panel designs for projects assigned to you by the Programming Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop control software and touch panel designs for assigned projects.
  • Work with other departments to ensure design, equipment, and control software meet project specifications.
  • Attend site meetings with clients and consultants to discuss programming, touch panel designs, and networking requirements.
  • Collaborate with other programmers and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Test systems in the proAV production facility and attend witness tests with consultants and clients.
  • Read system schematics and consultants' specifications before commencing work.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed to a high standard and in accordance with specifications.

Programming
  • Take full responsibility for project programming requirements and ensure all programming functions are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Program AMX and Crestron, as well as basic control solutions.

Test
  • Support or conduct system testing and pre-programming activities to ensure systems meet functional specifications.

Commissioning
  • Assist in the commissioning of proAV systems at client sites and ensure systems are operational on schedule.

Communications
  • Effectively communicate programming needs to other departments.

Written Documentation
  • Communicate programming requirements to other proAV staff and prepare training documentation, operation, and maintenance manuals.

Other
  • Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed by the immediate manager.

Desirable Skills
  • Ability to interface well with clients and coworkers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and quick learner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computers and standard office programs.
  • Understanding of A/V systems and signal flow.
  • Knowledge of A/V system components.
  • Strong knowledge in audio visual technologies and integration.
  • Professional presentation skills.
  • At least years' experience in A/V control system program creation.
  • Experience with audio DSP device programming.
  • Ability to attend training for certifications based on company needs.
  • Project-related travel required.
