Senior Materials Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes or Central London. This is a permanent position with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project engineering documents, including Material Selection Diagrams, Material Selection reports, Paint and lining specifications, insulation specifications, and welding specifications.
  • Conduct materials and corrosion-related project activities, applying expertise to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare engineering studies, taking responsibility for their successful execution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a degree in Materials Engineering with professional status (or working towards).
  • Strong understanding of material types, materials selection, corrosion assessment, and materials performance assessment.
  • Knowledge of paint and lining systems, insulation selection, and welding of pressure components.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and manage multiple project responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in engineering activities across diverse geographic, technical, and cultural contexts.
  • Familiarity with the application and maintenance of engineering processes, systems, and tools (software).
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Full command of the English language, both written and spoken.
