About JMDA Design:

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced industrial designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for contributing to various phases of the product development process. This is a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of international projects and apply your knowledge of beautiful form and usability to conceptualise and develop innovative product solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative product solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work closely with our design team to conceptualise and develop product designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
  • Apply your knowledge of mass-manufacturing processes and their limitations to ensure that our designs are feasible and cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure that our designs meet the necessary technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of your work to showcase your skills and experience.


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in industrial design.
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver projects into the market.
  • Outstanding sketch ability and a portfolio that showcases your talent.
  • Demonstratable skill at creating visually compelling concepts.
  • Strong CAD surfacing skills (ideally Solidworks).
  • Ability to work around mechanical constraints.
  • Eye for detail and ability to see the big picture.
  • Able to take charge and manage projects, timelines, and client communication.
  • A team player with a willingness to support and develop the skills of younger design team members.
  • Must be a UK resident or possess a UK working visa.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel overseas as required.
  • Clean driving license and own means of transport.


Qualifications:

A degree in Industrial / Product Design.
