Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production engineering team, working closely with key technical staff to ensure the application of appropriate engineering skills, and supporting production and NPI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve business facilities, overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and to budget.
  • Assist the business in providing a safe environment for staff with development opportunities.
  • Ensure the business is supported in solving problems that affect production, minimizing delays.
  • Conduct H&S risk assessments.
  • Utilize PFMEA where possible.
  • Ensure the design, trial, manufacture, and commission of tools and fixtures.
  • Implement and work to KPIs, promoting lean tools and culture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership role.
  • Track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals.
  • Proven responsibility for engineering budgets, including CAPEX expenditure.
  • Proficient use of CAD packages - Solidworks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD.
  • Experience in applying CI/Lean principles in a manufacturing setting.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Data-driven and analytical.
