About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting young people in education? Do you have experience working with individuals with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Cover People, working in partnership with secondary schools in Rochdale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual or group support to students with SEN needs, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.">
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that students receive the best possible support.">
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.">

What We Offer

A competitive salary of approximately £25,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also benefit from:

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with young people, particularly those with SEN.">
  • Previous experience working in education or a related field, preferably with adults or young people with SEND needs.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.">
  • Great timekeeping and a hardworking nature, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.">
  • Able to commute to Rochdale daily, with flexibility to work varying shifts.">
