Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the safety, wellbeing, and learning of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to provide comprehensive support services to families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk evaluations to identify areas of need and develop tailored support plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to families to help them access community resources and services.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong understanding of child welfare and family support principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in child welfare and family support.
