Business Intelligence Engineer for Operations Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our WW Operations Finance team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our strategic innovation program and empowering project teams with insights into operational performance.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive grasp of data and reporting, with strong analytical capabilities and exceptional business acumen. You will be responsible for setting data modeling standards, constructing complex data pipelines, and building and maintaining multiple databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify complex business problems and implement solutions to enhance Operations Finance-facing systems, processes, and tools.
- Develop deep-dive tools, user interfaces (UIs), metrics, and dashboards to communicate insights in real-time to business teams.
- Collaborate effectively with business customers and cross-functional data management teams to solve problems and implement innovative solutions.
About the Team
Our S&A WW Ops Finance Tech org is a brand new organization with a strong tech product roadmap for 2024. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of our London office.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
