Our client, a leading FM provider, is seeking an M&E Electrical Engineer to join their team at a newly built data centre in Essex/Hertfordshire.

About the Job

This exciting opportunity involves working as part of a dynamic team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building services mechanical and electrical engineering, with a good understanding of HVAC systems, UPS, Diesel Generators, Plumbing, Refrigeration, and CAFM systems.

Responsibilities
  • Fault find and troubleshoot issues with infrastructure equipment and systems, including heating/cooling, power supply generators, UPS systems, control systems, and server racks.
  • Perform reactive tasks, inspections, and analysis to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Commission and benchmark new infrastructure equipment, ensuring it meets the required standards.
  • Install new infrastructure equipment, decommission retired equipment, and perform updates to maintenance documentation.
Requirements
  • HV/LV awareness and H&S certification.
  • A minimum City & Guilds qualification in building services mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers registration.
  • Good working knowledge of building services trades, including UPS, Diesel Generators, Plumbing, HVAC systems, and Refrigeration.
  • Computer literacy and I.T. skills, with experience in CAFM systems.
  • Data centre knowledge and experience.
