Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Aircraft Certification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in certifying aircraft products for airworthiness and supporting our engineers and senior technicians to execute dynamic, static & life cycle tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Static, Dynamic and Life Cycle test setups in accordance with test procedures.
- Support dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
- Set up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.
- Set up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
- Manufacture and maintain test fixtures and equipment as necessary.
- Carry out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Be responsible for maintenance of static test / life cycle area and equipment.
- Review existing risk assessments the dynamic test facility and highlight any changes.
- Support dynamic sled maintenance in line with engineer.
- Be responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
- Previous Mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.
- Strong mechanical fitting skills.
- Electrical/electronic skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in Engineering.
- Experienced in a testing environment.
- Photographic experience.
- Data collection experience.
- Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.
Personal Skills/Attributes:
- IT literate.
- Ability to follow written procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to learn.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
