Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Aircraft Certification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in certifying aircraft products for airworthiness and supporting our engineers and senior technicians to execute dynamic, static & life cycle tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Static, Dynamic and Life Cycle test setups in accordance with test procedures.
  • Support dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
  • Set up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.
  • Set up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
  • Manufacture and maintain test fixtures and equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible for maintenance of static test / life cycle area and equipment.
  • Review existing risk assessments the dynamic test facility and highlight any changes.
  • Support dynamic sled maintenance in line with engineer.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Previous Mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.
  • Strong mechanical fitting skills.
  • Electrical/electronic skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND in Engineering.
  • Experienced in a testing environment.
  • Photographic experience.
  • Data collection experience.
  • Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.

Personal Skills/Attributes:

  • IT literate.
  • Ability to follow written procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
