We are seeking a skilled Financial Systems Expert to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. Our client, a Local Authority in London, requires an experienced professional to manage their finance systems and banking services.

Salary

The successful candidate can expect a competitive daily rate of £352.08 (PAYE) or £400 (umbrella) with opportunities for overtime.

Job Description

As the Financial Systems Expert, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the main finance systems, leading on upgrades and projects, and managing banking contracts. You will work closely with a team of 10 and have two direct reportees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing development of the Council's financial systems, including implementation and testing of system upgrades and new interfaces.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliations and balancing of systems and data, to guarantee accurate recording of data from source.
  • Review the use of finance systems to identify optimal ways of operating the finance systems and deliver continual improvement processes.
  • Advise services on technical aspects of income collection options.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess AAT qualification as a minimum, experience in developing and maintaining financial systems, and knowledge of banking contracts in a Local Authority.
