About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MET Technician to join our successful team at our Bourne site. As an MET Technician with Steer, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for repairing vehicles to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all necessary mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs.
- Performing repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop and reassembling to pre-accident condition.
- Using diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose and repair problems.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Support the training and development of the team.
About You
You will have strong knowledge and experience as an MET Technician or mechanic from an accident repair background, with high attention to detail and the ability to work skilfully and safely under pressure.
Requirements:
- Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
- Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification.
- Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Be flexible in your approach, continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines.
