Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager to join their team in South Croydon. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that services and support are provided in a child-centred way, as part of the therapeutic community practice framework.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To promote the therapeutic community within the home, supporting both the children and staff members to invest in the community in the home.
  • To contribute to individual staff development by way of their personal development plans, “in house” training programmes, and external training.
  • To implement a rota system that ensures the most effective use of staff to always support the needs of the children.
  • To actively promote and maintain a close working partnership with parents/carers and other significant people in the lives of children to promote their best interests and ensure positive outcomes.
  • To ensure that staff are familiar with and adhere to the care plans as agreed for the children in the home.
  • To deputise for the registered manager for aspects of day-to-day operational management of the home.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management in Children’s Residential qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a supervisory role in Children’s residential care.
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
