We are seeking a skilled Adult Safeguarding Lead Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As an expert in safeguarding adults, you will play a vital role in ensuring the trust meets its statutory responsibilities.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of adult safeguarding principles. You will work closely with other professionals, including Named and Designated Professionals, to develop and implement strategies for safeguarding adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures that align with national guidelines
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff on adult safeguarding best practices
  • Collaborate with external agencies, such as police and social care, to share knowledge and expertise
  • Participate in safeguarding partnership boards and contribute to decision-making processes
Requirements
  • Registered Practitioner (NMC, HCPC, GMC, or registered Social Worker)
  • First degree and relevant post-registration training in safeguarding adults
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Significant leadership experience in acute or specialist adult services
  • Demonstrable experience in safeguarding adults and ability to work collaboratively
  • Fully conversant with national adult safeguarding agenda
