Education Practitioner for Young People

Role Overview
VIA is seeking a motivated Volunteer Young People's Education Practitioner to join our team in supporting young individuals in developing their literacy and numeracy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interventions using 'Turning Pages' and 'Count Me In' resources, providing targeted support to young people in achieving their educational goals.
- Identify and signpost to relevant services where additional support is required, ensuring seamless access to resources and expertise.
- Maintain accurate records of work, adhering to VIA's expectations and providing regular feedback to line managers.
- Cultivate a positive and supportive environment, upholding VIA's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with young people, with a strong understanding of their characteristics and educational needs.
- Experience in working with young individuals, with a focus on literacy and numeracy development.
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs, with a non-judgmental and supportive approach.
