About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of maintenance work, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Carry out and register mandatory inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assess and develop the technical capabilities of our maintenance team, including training and development programs.
  • Liaise with HR and Site Management on recruitment, termination, promotion, and salary/payroll issues related to maintenance employees.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and interviews to ensure the maintenance team is meeting its objectives.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ordering, ensuring optimal stock levels and compliance with established procedures.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure efficient handling of malfunctions and repairs.
  • Work closely with Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Administer company policies and manage local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Investigate accidents and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to maintenance team members, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and wider team to solve problems and maintain facility operations.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical qualifications, NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship training, and mechanical experience.
  • Experience in distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership.
  • Business background with competency in maintaining/engineering functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, IT systems, and supply chain optimization.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Own transport due to the location of this facility (public transport not available).
