Aerospace Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Orion Electrotech. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our estimating processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating & Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor services, and overheads. Review architectural plans, specifications, and other documents to assess the project scope. Conduct take-offs and quantity surveys from drawings to calculate materials and labor costs.
- Risk & Cost Management: Identify potential cost risks, opportunities for savings, and any financial impacts that could affect project delivery. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that estimates are aligned with budgets and cost control measures. Provide value engineering solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Collaboration & Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather project information and clarify requirements. Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms.
- Market Research & Data Management: Conduct market research to stay updated on current material costs, labor rates, and trends in the construction industry. Maintain and update historical cost databases for future reference.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate cost estimates for specify project types: commercial, residential, civil, etc.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., li>)
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with project management software (e.g., li>)
- Leadership and team-building capabilities.
