About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Tyre and Alloy Technician to join our team at Stephen James (Automotive) Ltd. As a key member of our alloy repair team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a Mercedes Sprinter Van to collect and deliver damaged alloys to our various centres in Southeast London and Kent.
  • Safely jack up vehicles and remove alloy wheels for repair as instructed, ensuring accurate labelling and recording of all alloys and work done.
  • Return repaired alloys to the correct vehicle and axle, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Be proficient in removing and refitting alloy wheels, including managing tyre pressures and torque settings for specific vehicles.
  • Collaborate with onsite coordinators to efficiently manage collections and deliveries, maximising repair workloads.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a tyre fitter, alloy wheel technician or SMART technician.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and proficient driving skills.
  • Have a passion for customer service, with the ability to build rapport and trust effortlessly.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid, clean UK Driving Licence for at least one year.
