About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Work Specialist to join our Initial Response Team (IRT) at Bury Council.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Social Work Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and their families;
  • Working closely with other agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes;
  • Developing and implementing effective case plans to meet the needs of service users;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on progress as required;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field;
  • Experience working in a social care setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.

Location

This role is based at our offices in Bury, with regular travel to other locations within the borough.
