About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Thornford Park, a medium and low secure service for men and women. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to service users with complex needs, including those with personality disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputising for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
  • Taking a key role in service development, including designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment within secure/PICU services
  • Line Management of specified team members, providing robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team
  • Providing evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions to service users, including 1:1 and group interventions
  • Contributing to MDT care planning and review, ensuring that service users receive comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Engaging in CPD and contributing to audit and research as directed by the line manager
Requirements
  • BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate
  • HCPC Registered
  • Eligible for Chartered Membership of the BPS
  • Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis
