Contentious Probate Role

We are seeking a skilled Probate Litigation Solicitor to join our highly regarded Will Disputes & Contentious Probate team.

The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of civil litigation experience, including contentious probate work, and ideally some experience of contentious probate and non-contentious private client work during their training contract or early career.

The day-to-day caseload will involve running own cases, working with colleagues on large cases, and benefiting from supervision and support from the Head of our Will Disputes & Contentious Probate team.

The ideal candidate will be able to work together with other colleagues within the contentious and non-contentious teams, and will have a strong understanding of contentious probate matters, including Inheritance Act claims, challenges to the validity of Wills, and estate administration disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run own cases and work with colleagues on large cases
  • Work closely with the Head of our Will Disputes & Contentious Probate team
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of contentious probate matters

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of civil litigation experience, including contentious probate work
  • Experience of contentious probate and non-contentious private client work during training contract or early career
  • Strong understanding of contentious probate matters
