We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Driver to join our team at DFDS. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering fresh and frozen products to distribution centres and stores across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive Class 1 vehicles, delivering goods to distribution centres and stores.
- Operate refrigerated trailers and manage temperature controls.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries across various locations, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with all road safety regulations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 2 years of experience, alongside a valid CPC and DIGI Card. Experience in tramping and refrigerated deliveries is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will also need to be confident navigating a truck through busy urban areas, have a solid understanding of UK driving regulations and road safety standards, and be able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
A positive attitude towards customer service is also essential for success in this role.
