Job Title – Electrical Engineer

Velocity Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Stafford. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all planned and reactive maintenance tasks for the GE Vernova contract.

  • Work as part of a team of 2 on required shifts
  • Participate in an on-call rota
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical equipment
  • Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems and LOTO
  • Ensure safe working practices by adhering to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Support Manager and Supervisor to ensure engineering subcontractors are supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes
  • Update logbooks, shift hand-over, and client reporting regularly and accurately
  • Identify and report potential hazards

Person Specification

  • Electrical qualifications from a recognised institution (NVQ/C&Gs)
  • Experience in multi-skilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, and carpentry) is desirable
  • Comprehensive electrical experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Formal H&S training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF, Test and Inspect are advantageous
