Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for a major High Street brand. This is a full-time position, contracted to 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly, delivering exceptional food experiences, and helping to drive sales through new food or service concepts.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare delicious food to the highest standards.
  • Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
  • Oversee in-unit catering operations, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
  • Communicate with line managers to monitor KPIs and targets.
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
  • Liaise between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
  • Support and train teams, leading from the front to excel in their roles.
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards across catering and service teams.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years of catering experience.
  • Experience managing teams in a similar role.
  • Holding NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 qualifications.
  • A Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Demonstrating brilliant financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An ambitious and motivated individual always looking to upskill.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer competitive pay, great perks, and unrivalled opportunities for learning and development.
