Automation Systems Specialist

Sustainable Infrastructure Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join their team in Exeter. This is a mid-level role, with an estimated salary of £45,000.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will take on a variety of responsibilities and challenges as part of our small, dynamic team. Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing control algorithms for industrial systems.
- Simulating and analyzing predicted control performance to ensure system reliability.
- Designing and conducting physical tests on internal test platforms and real-world applications.
- Supporting the deployment of control systems for customers, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
- Preparing and maintaining technical reports and test documentation.
- Collaborating closely with the technical team and providing regular updates to management to inform project planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent industrial experience and expertise in advanced control approaches for vibrations, including adaptive control techniques. Hands-on experience with linear motors and drives is also required. Proficiency in simulation work using Python or similar tools and experience with experimental validation and implementation of control systems are essential skills for this role.
