As a key member of our packaging operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating staff work assignments, equipment utilization, and other department resources to ensure seamless production.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate staff work assignments, equipment utilization, and other department resources to optimize production efficiency.
- Assemble and approve issued packaging documentation, review completed documents for accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory and Zoetis guidelines.
- Monitor and check line operations to ensure all packaging procedures are being accurately completed for each product.
- Conduct detailed troubleshooting and/or advanced maintenance of packaging equipment to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
- Apply divisional quality standards to the operation and take appropriate action as needed to maintain high-quality products.
- Assist with equipment set-up and operation, meeting routers and schedules, and communicating effectively between departments, shifts, and employees.
- Understand and enforce company policies and procedures, including personnel, safety, SOPs, and cGMPs.
- Assist with employee training, investigations, and reviews of SOPs and operational manuals.
- Work with Maintenance and Engineering to improve equipment operation and contribute to Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
- Two years of college and/or four years of pharmaceutical or biological experience.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of packaging equipment and completion of leadership training courses or equivalent training.
- Communication skills at a college level, ability to speak effectively before employees and management, and capable of writing detailed memos, monthly reports, and operational procedures.
- College degree (Business or Science fields) and four years of supervisory/technical experience.
- Proficiency in PC Windows applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and other in-house software systems.
The physical demands of this role include prolonged periods of standing, routine lifting of 20-40 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. You will be exposed to cleaning chemicals, product dust/particulate, loud noise, temperature variations, and moving mechanical parts.
