About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of French to lead our French department and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive French curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Lead a team of French teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor student progress and attainment in French, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum across the school
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to French education

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of teaching French in a secondary school setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions about teaching and learning
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practice in French education
