We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Specialist to join our IT services team in Cardiff.

Job Description

As a Data Centre Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our data centre infrastructure. This includes working with Linux administration, storage systems (primarily NetApp OnTap/CVO) and AWS cloud computing technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient data centre solutions that meet our business needs.
  • Monitor system performance and take corrective action when necessary, adhering to Change Management procedures.
  • Provide root cause analysis for problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Our ideal candidate will have experience in remote communication using appropriate channels, technical skills in Linux administration, storage systems and cloud computing technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per year, 30 days of annual leave, 8 bank holidays, 1 privilege day, and enrollment in the Civil Service Pension scheme with competitive employer contributions.
