Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Sodexo, a world-leading food and facilities management company. As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of catering staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient and staff catering services at Priory Hospital Kneesworth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and Develop a Customer-Focused Service: Ensure that the patient catering service is delivered to the contractual agreement in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Cover Service Requirements: Cover service requirements in the absence of the daily chef in the onsite kitchens.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure services remain within budgetary remit and comply with food and H&S legislation.
  • Recruit and Motivate Staff: Recruit, motivate, and manage the catering staff, ensuring they are fully trained and developed for the roles they hold.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with site clients and dietitians to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading a team within a comparable service environment, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Financial Awareness: Financial awareness and understanding, with the ability to control costs and manage budgets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems analytically, develop opportunities, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Food Safety: Food Safety Level 3 certification.
