A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounting Support Specialist to join a dynamic team of Chartered Accountants based in North Leeds.

Job Description

You will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the accounting team, including completion of VAT returns, client bookkeeping, and bank reconciliations. You will also be required to process purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments, and prepare accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Complete VAT returns and client bookkeeping
  2. Reconcile bank statements
  3. Liaise with clients to ensure accurate financial information
  4. Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  5. Prepare accounts for various business structures
  6. Communicate effectively with HMRC

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accountancy firm
  • Strong understanding of SAGE 50
  • Excellent systems skills, including MS Excel
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Highly organized and accurate
