Job Title: Adult Psychiatry Consultant

Coventry And Warwick Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatry Consultant to join their team. As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the trust's mental health services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex mental health needs, providing leadership and guidance to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication and psychotherapy
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to decision-making
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent
  • CCT or CESR at the time of interview or in an established training programme and within six months of CCT
  • Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR (CP) at interview
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
