We are seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to lead procurement and supply chain operations for a prominent FMCG company in Hull. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing daily purchasing activities, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency
  • Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks
  • Maintaining supplier databases, purchase records, and related documentation
  • Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
  • Managing and improving order delivery efficiency
  • Auditing, assessing, managing, and mitigating risks in the procurement process
  • Driving change and setting up strategic goals in the procurement department

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex projects

Salary and Benefits
