About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emotional Health Practitioner to join our SCAYT+ team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to children and families, promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver bespoke training on attachment, developmental trauma, therapeutic parenting, and other relevant topics to care givers, children, and professionals.
  • Provide direct interventions with children and families, utilizing Dyadic Developmental Practice and PACE approaches.
  • Collaborate with Social Workers, NHS, and other professionals to ensure a multiagency approach to supporting vulnerable children and families.
  • Assess and manage challenging behavior, fostering acceptance, attachment, and love and care for each child.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans to support children and families, promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children looked after and adopted, and experience of working therapeutically.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, care givers, and professionals.
  • Self-aware and reflective, with the ability to adapt to each situation and respond in the manner needed.
  • Knowledge of attachment theory, systemic practice, and therapeutic principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
