About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to join our catering team at Ayrshire Central Hospital. The successful candidate will have experience in large-scale catering, preferably within an NHS environment, and hold relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or an S/NVQ qualification, along with a Food Hygiene Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals, including therapeutic diets, to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, record-keeping, and monitoring of data for HACCP and Environmental Health.
- Work collaboratively as part of a larger team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
- Food Hygiene Basic Certificate
- Diet Cookery Certificate
- City & Guilds 706/2 (or equivalent)
- Catering Department Codes of Practice
- Communication skills
- COSHH
- Customer Care
Working Hours:
22.3 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 3 days over 7 days, including weekends.
