About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our audit and accounts team, you will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, allocating audit work, and preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, from planning to completion
  • Allocate audit work in the field and the office
  • Prepare and review of statutory accounts
  • Prepare tax computations when relevant to audit assignments
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being their go-to person for support
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development
  • Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance
  • Delegate work to and mentor an audit team, supporting their learning and development
  • Represent the firm at networking opportunities and support the provision of marketing and sales services

Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with demonstrable experience in UK practice
  • A proven track record of leading audits from planning to completion
  • Adept at accounts preparation and leading all commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Experience managing a team of accountants
  • Excellent work ethic and hands-on approach
  • Self-motivated and eager to progress
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Good awareness of current affairs and emerging trends
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
  • A natural relationship builder
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
