As a Quantity Surveyor at Keltbray Group, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional commercial results within our Energy Transmission & Distribution Business Unit. Based in our Preston Brook Office, Cheshire, you will be part of a team that strives to achieve profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting of all schemes.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the application and credit control processes to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop a deep understanding of income forecasting and pricing of variations to maximize profit.
- Familiarize yourself with the change control system to ensure effective project management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Produce accurate CVRs and CTCs to support project delivery.
- Develop forecasting data and costing processes to inform business decisions.
- Manage the full sub-contract cycle, including documentation and communication with stakeholders.
- Assist with weekly cost-to-complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
- Upload necessary documentation to support business requirements.
- Review weekly site records, including allocation sheets and site diaries.
- Attend project progress meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Prepare monthly financial performance reports to inform business decisions.
We operate a team ethos across the Energy Transmission & Distribution Business Unit, striving to assist colleagues in the execution of their duties where appropriate and adds value. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring adherence to group commercial policies and meeting legislative requirements.
- Managing commercial performance against business targets and KPIs.
- Collaborating with commercial and operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Promoting a culture of integration, continuous improvement, and best practice across the client base.
- Assisting with the use of key lean tools to drive efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Encouraging and supporting the delivery of successful collaborative planning with the contract delivery teams.
- Committing to your own professional development and that of others across the Business Unit.
- Performing other tasks as identified by the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Managing Surveyor.
