Physical Education Director - Boys' Program

The Wayman Learning Trust seeks a highly qualified and experienced Physical Education teacher to lead our dynamic Boys' PE program. As a passionate advocate for promoting a love of sport and physical activity amongst young men, you will develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with our school's overall vision and educational goals.

About the Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Boys' PE program, ensuring alignment with national curriculum requirements and innovative teaching methods.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes lifelong participation in physical activity for all boys, fostering a love of sport and physical activity amongst boys of all abilities.
  • Lead by example, teaching high-quality PE lessons that motivate and inspire boys to participate and excel in PE and sports.
  • Oversee the work of PE teachers within the Boys' program, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Boys' PE program, implementing improvements based on data analysis.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the Boys' PE program.
    • Promote the importance of physical and mental wellbeing amongst boys, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.
    • Champion equal opportunities for all boys to participate and excel in PE and sports.
    • Develop and oversee a range of extracurricular sports clubs and activities for boys, catering to diverse interests and abilities.
    • Encourage participation in interschool competitions and external sporting events, providing guidance and support to student athletes.
    • Collaborate effectively with other departments within the school to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
