Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team on a part-time basis, including some weekends. The successful candidate will have culinary and management experience, with a focus on kitchen functions, including ordering supplies, preparation, and maintenance of quality standards.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Supporting the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks throughout the day, catering to residents' preferences and dietary needs.
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Developing menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
- Maintaining food safety checks and records, adhering to company requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively with the Activities Team to cater for special events within the home.
- Manage budgets effectively.
- Oversee employee supervision and rota scheduling.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working in a care setting.
- Qualifications in catering or a related field.
- Food safety qualifications.
