Genomics Researcher

The Wellcome Sanger Institute is a leading genomics research centre seeking highly motivated PhD researchers to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of scientists and clinicians, contributing to cutting-edge research in large-scale, high-throughput biology.

As a PhD researcher at the Institute, you will be part of a vibrant community of students and academics who are passionate about advancing our understanding of the genome. You will have access to exceptional research facilities and resources, including major data generation platforms in DNA sequencing and cellular genetics, microscopic and spatial imaging, and an accompanying large IT platform supporting computational data interpretation and analysis.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced researchers and academics to design, conduct, and interpret experiments, as well as develop your skills in scientific writing, presentation, and communication. You will also have opportunities to present your work at national and international scientific meetings, as well as to the Institute.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000-£35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
