Geriatric Psychiatrist

This is a senior psychiatrist position in Victoria, Australia, offering a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical expertise in older age psychiatry.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in older person psychiatry and be able to provide secondary consultation, guidance, and advice to a range of other healthcare professionals and settings.

Key responsibilities include providing clinical assessment and treatment, actively participating in quality improvement activities, and participating in the education and supervision of junior medical colleagues.

The mental health service is well-equipped with a range of facilities, including an acute inpatient unit, extended care inpatient unit, prevention and recovery centre, and community-based units.
