Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a Flood Risk Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting flood risk assessments, creating surface water drainage strategies, and modeling flood risk scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct flood risk assessments for strategic development schemes in Flood Zones 1, 2 & 3.
  • Create surface water drainage strategies for proposed development sites, incorporating SuDS.
  • Model flood risk scenarios using 1D, 2D, and 1D-2D modeling techniques.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, drainage design standards, and good practice.
  • Proficient in MicroDrainage and flood modeling software packages.
