We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Maternity Trauma and Loss Care Service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with expertise in trauma, loss, and perinatal mental health. The role will involve providing clinical leadership, supervision, and management to a team of therapists and midwives, as well as developing and implementing trauma-informed care pathways.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of therapists and midwives
- Develop and implement trauma-informed care pathways
- Collaborate with local maternity services and the directorate clinical and management team to ensure effective service delivery
- Provide psychological leadership and expertise to the service
- Ensure the systematic provision and governance of psychology services within the service
The Maternity Trauma and Loss Care Service is a specialist perinatal mental health service that provides support to women and birthing people who have experienced trauma, loss, and complex grief. We are a close-knit team who work collaboratively to provide high-quality care to our clients. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our staff and clients.
Person Specification- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
- Post-doctoral qualification or training in an evidence-based treatment for trauma
- Experience of working with trauma, loss, and perinatal mental health
- Experience of providing clinical leadership and supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
