The Aurora Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dust and polish surfaces to a high standard
  • Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas, including cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Vacuum and wash floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Tidy up rooms and common areas, including disposing of waste and recycling
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed
  • Report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to the facilities team
  • Keep bathrooms stocked and clean, including restocking toilet paper and soap

Requirements

  • Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others
  • Understanding of key aspects of Health and Safety legislation for cleaning
  • Experience of cleaning a variety of surfaces, including floors, walls, and furniture
  • High standards, attention to detail, reliability, and a positive work ethic
  • Experience and/or knowledge of disability and disability issues would be an advantage
  • Positive and proactive demeanor
