About the Role:


1st Staff are seeking an experienced Tutor to join their team and provide one-to-one support to children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the St. Albans area.


The ideal candidate will have a caring and friendly nature, allowing them to build a rapport with the young person, and experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Mentor would be beneficial.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver sessions on a one-to-one basis to young people unable to attend mainstream education
  • Plan and deliver fun and interesting lessons in English and Maths
  • Work with a range of SEN, including experience of working with children who have learning difficulties
  • Provide support and guidance to young people to help them reach their full potential

Requirements:



  • Experience of working with children with SEN
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Caring and friendly nature
  • Experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Mentor would be beneficial
