About the Role

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Derby. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in our client's project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and estimate air conditioning and ventilation projects with values ranging from £5,000 to £1,500,000.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects in the commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
  • Evaluate material and labour costs, equipment expenses, and other factors to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Develop detailed project proposals, including cost summaries, scope of work, and timelines.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations to address questions and concerns related to project estimates.
  • Continuously update and refine cost databases and estimate templates.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the ventilation and air conditioning industry.
  • Ability to estimate from pre-designed projects.
  • Ability to design in air conditioning and ventilation for D&B projects in preparation for tenders.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
