About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant/Support Worker to join our team at UKCIL. As a Personal Assistant/Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual to lead an independent lifestyle in their own home.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support as required
  • Assist with laundry and meal preparation
  • Support with accessing the community, including using a walking stick or wheelchair when necessary

Key Qualities:

  • Warm and friendly demeanor
  • Able to use own initiative and work independently
  • Happy, positive, and caring nature
  • Flexibility required to accommodate hospital appointments and other commitments

Requirements:

  • DBS check required (UKCIL will cover the cost of the DBS check if the candidate does not already hold a portable DBS)
  • Care experience desirable but not essential

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will be required to work 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate hospital appointments and other commitments. Notice will be given in advance for any changes to the working hours.
