Audit Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is collaborating with a prestigious accountancy firm in Edinburgh to find a permanent Assistant Audit Manager. This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct external audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, technology, life sciences, financial services, property groups, charities, housing associations, and pension schemes.
- Liaise and communicate with colleagues, managers, and partners.
- Coach junior staff and assist with in-house training sessions.
- Develop and maintain client contact and relationships.
- Ensure work is completed within strict timescales and to the agreed budget.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by the management team.
- Experience of account preparation is essential.
- Recent experience in public practice is essential.
- Recent external audit experience is essential.
- Newly qualified CA or ACCA is required.
- Good communication skills are necessary.
- Willingness to take responsibility and suggest solutions to problems encountered.
- Proven success as a team player.
- Proven ability to work to budgets and deadlines.
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, CCH, Audit Automation, Sage, Xero, and CaseWare IDEA, is preferred.
