Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Trant Engineering Limited. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our water and wastewater treatment projects in the Wessex region.

About the Role:
  • Lead the commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, operational staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery and handover.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the commissioning phase of the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to plan and execute commissioning activities, ensuring they meet project requirements.
  • Ensure the commissioning is to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers' best practice.
  • Produce and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all commissioning-based activities.
  • Assist in the production of commissioning plans, inspection test plans, and training manuals.
  • Coordinate with the systems integration team to carry out Site Acceptance Tests and Telemetry commissioning.
  • Review P&ID diagrams and provide strategies to commission plant and equipment into existing processes in line with client specifications.
  • Attend commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients' engineering and operational teams.
  • Undertake Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process.
  • Commission, interface, and set to work equipment.
  • Undertake or supervise NICEIC electrical installation testing to C&G standards.
Requirements:
  • Industry-applicable ONC or City & Guilds/NVQ equivalent.
  • SSSTS.
  • CSCS card.
  • 1st Aid trained.
  • Water and Wastewater Industry background.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
