Junior Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

About the Role

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This will include ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of food
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training and development
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes
Requirements
  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie in a similar style of venue
  • Proven success and evidence of progression in a kitchen environment
  • Experience supervising and training a team would be an advantage
  • Level 3 Food Safety certification and knowledge of HACCP
  • Knowledge of Micros Simphony (or relevant POS), Procure Wizard, and Dimensions
